TiviMate Recording Not Working? Fix Recording Errors

Recording fails for four main reasons: insufficient storage space, incorrect storage path, provider blocking recordings, or incorrect EPG data. Most fixes take under two minutes.
Quick Fixes for Recording Issues
1. Check Storage Space
Recordings require free storage space. On Firestick, go to Settings > My Fire TV > About > Storage. You need at least 1 GB free for a 30-minute recording in HD. Delete old recordings or unused apps to free space.
2. Set the Correct Recording Path
Go to Settings > Recording > Recording path. If using external storage (USB drive), ensure it is connected and formatted as FAT32 or exFAT. NTFS is not supported. Select the correct folder where recordings should save.

5. Verify EPG Data Accuracy
Scheduled recordings use EPG data to know when a program starts and ends. If your EPG data is wrong, recordings will start and end at the wrong times. Refresh your EPG in Settings > EPG > Update EPG Now.
TiviMate Scheduled Recording Not Working
If scheduled recordings do not start, the EPG data may be incorrect or the app may not have background run permission. On Firestick, TiviMate must stay open in the background for scheduled recordings to work. Do not force-close the app. On Android TV, scheduled recordings work even when the app is not in focus.
TiviMate Recording Failed Error
A Recording Failed error usually means the storage path is invalid or the disk is full. Check your recording path in Settings > Recording and ensure it points to a valid, writable location with free space. If using an external USB drive, try reformatting it as FAT32.
